Letter: Let free market competition fix the roads

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/opinion/2019/07/09/letter-let-free-market-competition-fix-roads/1672920001/ A few legislators in Lansing, backed by special interests, are trying to sneak through a proposal to bar many contractors from bidding on state projects. Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host educators from Genesee County at the Operating Engineers 324 Construction Career Center and give them a hands-on overview of some of the careers available in being an #OE324 Operating Engineer! The educators learned about the training we offer around safety, how crane operators calculate lifts, and got to try their hands at a crane and excavator. When we have the chance to show our industry leading safety and skills training directly to educators, it helps them share the opportunities with the next generation of Operating Engineers! We thank them for their visit and look forward to continued involvement!#OE324PROUD #oe324trains ... See MoreSee Less
