Thank you for your interest in the “Operating Engineers Apprenticeship” programs. The next application process will start on June 10, 2019 and run through June 14, 2019 as long as there are applications still available – applications are limited in supply. Please follow the link in red below to create your user account. This account login will be used to request your application beginning June 10, 2019. Please keep your login credentials on hand so you don’t have any issues logging in when the time comes. Also, it will be in your best interest to read the “Application Notification” page in its entirety so you can be informed on what documentation is required to apply to the program.
It is recommended that you take the “Workkeys” tests as soon as possible to ensure you have a score that meets or exceeds our requirement. “Workkeys” tests do not expire and can be taken at several “Michigan Works” locations or Community Colleges, they cannot be taken online. There are two links in red at the bottom of the “Application Notification” page where you can add your zip code and locate potential testing facilities closest to your home. You must first call these locations to verify that they do offer the testing and to also schedule your appointment. You must provide a scale score and a level score for each of the required tests listed below. Failure to provide both scores will result in an incomplete application.

The picture above is a sample of acceptable Workkeys test results. The document needs to show the test/manifest name, a level score for each test, and a scale score. Both scores must be documented to be accepted. The form will also state your name, testing facility and testing date. The correct term for this type of Workkeys documentation is called an “Instant Score Report” and should be given to you when you have completed the tests. The three tests should be shown on one page.
Thank you once again for your interest in the program,
