DETROIT LABOR DAY PARADE AND PICNIC
Equipment line up will take place at 8:00 am in front of the Stationary Engineers Education Center. The parade begins at 9:00 am. There will be a picnic in the parking lot of the Stationary Engineers Education Center after the walk starting at 10:00. Because of the picnic, there will be limited parking in the lot. On street parking is available on Abbott and Lafayette.
ISHPEMING PARADE
The Ishpeming Labor Day Parade will line up at the Cliffs Shaft Mine at 10:00 am and the parade will begin at 11:00 am. There will be a solidarity picnic and rally to follow after at the Cliff Shaft Mine Museum. There will also be free tours of the mine.
MACKINAC BRIDGE WALK & PICNIC
The staging area for the Labor Day Picnic and Bridge Walk is at Alexander Henry Park next to (east) the bridge entrance and Colonial Michilimackinac park on the city’s north end. The picnic will begin at 10:00 am with lunch at 11:00 am. There will be brats, hot dogs and chips, along with soda and water served at the picnic. Look for the Operating Engineers’ banner. For those who plan on walking the bridge, we will NOT be providing transportation across to the north side of the bridge this year. Please pre-plan to avoid confusion. School buses will be available for shuttle service beginning at 5:00 am for a small fee. The walk begins at 7:00 am. MUSKEGON UNITED LABOR DAY PARADE AND PICNIC
Parade participants must arrive between 9 AM and 10:30 AM rain or shine. Parade starts at 11 AM sharp. Lineup will be at 490 West Western, AFL-CIO HAll. Join us after the parade for a picnic and festivities at Hackley Park. We look forward to seeing you again this year!
