To Our Valued Community, Members and Partners,

One of the philosophies that guides Operating Engineers 324 is that change is a way of life; we should welcome it and even embrace it. That means from time to time, it’s necessary for a state-wide organization like ours to evaluate its brand and make sure our image is consistent with who we are and where we are going. I’m excited to tell you that we are introducing a new corporate logo, brand identity and Website. I’d like to share the story behind these changes and introduce you to our refreshed look and feel.

The first change you’ll likely notice? Our logo. Our previous logo has been a part of OE 324 for many decades. But as we evolve to meet the growing needs of Michigan’s marketplace, we want our look to evolve too—while remaining rooted in who we are. Although our new logo is simpler and more accurately reflects our future direction, it still has recognizable features of our previous logo, heritage, and the pride that went with it.

We’re pairing this logo with a fresh tagline: “We Keep Michigan Running.” We love how true that statement is. Our 14,000 Members are at the controls of the heavy equipment that build and repair Michigan’s roadways. We operate the complex temperature systems of commercial and public buildings and factories. We install the indispensable water, sewer and utility infrastructure covering every corner of our state. OE 324 also builds and maintains our state’s crucial gas and oil distribution pipelines. We not only build factories, arenas, schools, hospitals, commercial buildings. etc., but we maintain and service them too, at the highest quality level. And because our environment is important to us, we install alternative energy systems for a greener future.

You’ll see other visual changes too, especially with this Website. We’re incorporating professional photography, several short video stories, color elements, and interactive design elements that will make your experience with our Website more enjoyable and simpler to use. As we embrace this exciting change, who we are as an Organization will not change. Our values and strong work ethic will remain the same. If you are not currently a Member or a Signatory Contractor, I invite you to see for yourself the real benefits of being part of OE 324.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and exploring our new Website. It’s our honor to bring our best in quality training, skilled services, and ideas—each and every day.

Sincerely,

Douglas W. Stockwell
